After becoming involved in Global Issues Problem Solving in the 5th grade, she participated in FPS throughout middle and high school - including Community Problem Solving and Scenario Writing. Kimberly received her BA in Neuroscience and Mental Health Studies from the University of Tennessee in 2018. As a college student, she received national recognition for her research on the neurobiology of social stress and resilience in animals. After graduating, Kimberly was awarded a Fulbright Research Grant to lead an investigation of Alzheimer’s disease pathology with the Queen Sofia Foundation in Madrid, Spain. Later, she became a fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where
