Press Release: Bremen scores in Munich Bremen and Bremerhaven will be presenting themselves at the Expo Real real estate fair in Munich from 5 – 7 October in Munich and want to score points with tailor-made solutions. Bremen, September 2015. Whatever the industry, be it logistics, port operations, automotive or technology, Bremen and Bremerhaven have customised industrial estates and property locations to suit virtually every need. In combination with moderate land prices, high ROIs and a dynamic market, the State of Bremen has the odd ace up its sleeve. The diversity of Bremen and Bremerhaven will be showcased this year as well by the twin cities at the Expo Real real-estate fair in Munich (5 – 7 October 2015). A total of 22 companies from Bremen, Bremerhaven and the town of Achim will be presenting themselves on a joint 200 m² stand (no. 240, Hall B2) and showcasing their work, current projects, tenders and plans. ‘Expo Real is the international property fair, so it’s imperative for Bremen and Bremerhaven to have a clear presence there. We have a lot to offer and also want to flaunt the fact’, emphasises Martin Günthner, the Senator (Minister) for Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. ‘I’m looking forward to the fair, to the meetings, and to looking beyond the normal horizons in a way that is possible here in concentrated form.’ The focus of Bremen’s presence at this year’s fair is on two sites especially: the ‘Hansalinie’ industrial estate and ‘Überseestadt’. For all the differences between the two areas at first glance, there are also many factors they have in common. Both can look back at successful growth and can offer attractive potential thanks to continuous enlargement and site development. Offshore wind power plays a key role in Bremerhaven’s presentation at Expo Real. In addition to the forthcoming construction of the Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven (OTB) at the end of 2015, the nearby sites that will then be available, and the logistics properties in the Überseehafen, Bremerhaven will be presenting a completely new project this year, namely the ‘Kaiserquartier’. It extends north of the ‘Havenwelten’ and covers 29 hectares, part of which will be newly developed and built on, while other parts will be redeveloped by finding new uses for existing properties. ‘I’m certain we’ll be having many good meetings and conversations in Munich regarding the new Kaiserquartier and that the fast-approaching start to the construction of the OTB will also provide plenty to talk about. In short, I’m looking forward to Expo Real and to the way that Bremerhaven is presenting itself this year to the real-estate world’, was how Melf Grantz, the Mayor of Bremerhaven, summed it up. ... 2 The joint trade fair presence in Munich this October is organised by Bremeninvest (WFB) on behalf of the Senator for Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
