The Ministry of Transport and Communications, by means of Supreme Decree No. 021-2018-MTC, established the deadline for the submission of Co-Financed Unsolicited Proposals regarding Transport Infrastructure projects, enabling the private sector -interested in these new investment opportunities- to submit its PRESENTATION OF proposals for the execution of the following projects : CO-FINANCED • Lima-Ica Railway PRIVATE INITIATIVE • Third Group of Airports OF THE TRANSPORT Deadline for submission of proposals: SECTOR - 2019 From April 1st to May 15th 2019 Proposals shall be submitted to ProInversión’sreception desk. Information on the needs for intervention of the sector, budgetary capacity and criteria to be used for assessing the proposals has been publishedon PROINVERSION’swebsite, which may be consulted here. LIMA - ICA RAILWAY Lima-Ica Railway This project consists of the design, financing, construction, provision of state of art rolling stock, operation and maintenance of a passenger and cargo railway of approximately Objective: 323Km, with intermediate stations located between the cities of Lima and Ica, at a maximum speed of 200 km/h. This railway will be integrated to the Lima Metro System. Modality: Co-Financed Unsolicited Proposal Concession Period: 30 years Investment Amount: USD 3,263.9 million Estimated Award Date: Deadline for proposal submission: Under evaluation From April 1st to May 15th, 2019 By means of Supreme Decree No. 021-2018- PLANNING AND CONTRACT FORMULATION STRUCTURE TRANSACTION MTC, the deadlines for the submission of Co- PROGRAMMING EXECUTION Current Status: Financed Unsolicited Proposals are established from April 1st to May 15th, 2019. Current Status Project characteristics It shall be interconnected with the following infrastructures during its route |: Railway section - Basic Network of the Lima and Callao Metro Line. - Logistic Platforms - Port Terminals of El Callao - General San Martín – Pisco Port Terminal Approximately 323.70 Km, where approximately 44 km of tunnels, 50 km of bridges and elevated viaducts Length and 229.70 km on the surface shall be carried out; this will be defined in the pre-investment study. Address the public transportation demand in an orderly, accessible, safe and comfortable manner through an integrated transportation system; thus Objective contributing to the economic investment policy of the Peruvian government and the strategic railway lines of the MTC (Ministry of Transport and Communications). The number of direct Beneficiaries beneficiaries is estimated in about 9.32 million inhabitants in the Lima Region and 850 thousand in the Ica Region. Project Components • Construction of a railway line of 323.70 km with double track, with a rail type of 136 lb/yd and a maximum slope of 2.5%. Main components • Construction of passengers and cargo stations. • Procurement of rolling stock based on the size of the project. Railway infrastructure and rolling stock (trains) maintenance activities Main operation and will be carried out. maintenance activities The Operation will be carried out when the service to be provided by the Railway Transportation starts. Estimated investment amount USD 3,263.9 million. Incomes shall be collected through the charging of tickets to users. Income sources Rates are under assessment.
