You will be staying at one of the hotels 4 comfort double rooms with lagoon view. Each room is equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee. All this in an 8-day exciting journey. Day 1 Arrival in Venice Meet our representative at the airport arrival terminal for your transfer to the hotel. Check-in and time at leisure to discover Lido island and Venice, only 12’ boat ride away. Day 2 Venice Breakfast at the hotel. This year is the 1600 anniversary of Venice. For this unique occasion we have arranged a join-in guided tour to visit one of the most charming and historic areas of Venice, through the winding maze of streets and pedestrian bridges between St. Mark’s square and Rialto bridge. https://flashsales.travel [email protected] Leave the tourists behind with our local guide stopping to listen stories and legends about famous monuments such as La Fenice opera house and the sinuous Scala del Bovolo staircase. In the afternoon get your bike and enjoy the beaches of Lido from the luxurious Excelsior hotel beach to the wild ones in San Nicolò (north side) or Alberoni (south side). Day 3 Venice Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the beach and get a bike to discover beautiful places and the borgo (village) of Malamocco and Alberoni with its historical golf course. San Nicolo, where the 4th crusade camped before cruising in 1204 to the Holy land. On the field just behind the San Nicolò church campgrounds can still be seen. Day 4 Venice – Padua Breakfast at the hotel. Boat transfer to Venice airport to get your car, rented for 5 days. Driving to Padua take the local road along the Brenta river to see the beautiful villas aligned along the river. Then stop at Villa Pisani in Stra for a visit. The villa is quite similar to the Versailles castle, with fountains, large buildings and a huge Italian garden with its famous maze. Get to the hotel in Padua and check-in. Time at leisure to visit the city on your own. Padua is a journey into the past, amongst ancient history, traditions and art. The Palazzo della Ragione and Loggia dei Carraresi, the Scrovegni Chapel, with its precious frescoes of Giotto. It is a walk among magnificent old buildings and the spirituality of its churches: the Basilica di Sant’Antonio, Santa Giustina, the Duomo. Enjoy the city markets of Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, the grandeur of Prato della Valle and the millenary porticos. Padua is also the city of science with its university, the first one in the world. Later on get a cappuccino or a refreshing spritz on the terrace of Caffè Pedrocchi, a fashion venue where locals gather for the ritual aperitif (to visit the city we recommend to get a guide). Day 5 Padua Breakfast at the hotel. Today we suggest a drive through the countryside from Padua to the villages of Pedemontana Vicentina, a beautiful countryside with many Venetian villas designed by the famous architect Andrea Palladio, rural villages and churches that still stand rich of history and culture. Do not forget the food & wine products! The Sopressa salami, the Grappa from Bassano, Marostica cherries are just some delicacies. Interesting is the visit at the Museo del Maglio in Breganze, recounting the world of blacksmiths with historical records from 1635. In the afternoon spend few hours in Vicenza, a World Heritage Site thanks to the 23 buildings in the historical centre and 16 villas in the province created by Andrea Palladio. The Basilica Palladiana, the Teatro Olimpico, the Loggia del Capitanato Palazzo Chiericati, Villa la Rotonda and Palazzo Valmarano are just some of the universal treasures that welcome visitors to this area. Day 6 Padua Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for private visits. Today the itinerary goes to Conegliano and Prosecco hills, located to the north of the Treviso province. The valley benefits of a micro climate ideal for the prosecco grapes and the hills are planted with centuries-old vines. The magical atmosphere of these lands takes you to the ever-present fragrance of this special wine. These hills are the homeland of Prosecco, the most famous bubbles in the world. A local culture of wine growing and the art of living well. The Strada del Prosecco and wines of the Valdobbiadene hills will lead you in the discovery of ancient castles, noble villas, hermitages and abbeys. Today the itinerary goes to the East of Verona, where castles, villas, churches are still full of history and traditions. Let’s start in Soave, a medieval town enclosed within an undamaged city wall. With enchanting views and the charm of its little historical villages, Soave is also famous for its much-loved Soave white wine and the Recioto, two wines among the most exported and internationally famous, that can be discovered along the Soave Wine Route. This area is a land of villages dominated by castles, rural courtyards, and imposing manor houses dotted between the mountains and valleys. Finally, you can discover the typical products of the region, such as the Monte Veronese cheese and the Valpolicella extra virgin olive oil. Small inns, agritourism venues and renowned restaurants will offer you the very best delicious local food and wine. A truly amazing journey of flavours! On the way back is worth a visit to Verona, the city of love! The majestic Arena, the Roman amphitheatre that for decades has hosted the prestigious summer opera season, is found in the very central Piazza Bra.
