The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage points. Results in this document labeled “All Americans” or “Total” are based on this sample of 1,017 adults. The sample also includes 890 interviews among registered voters (plus or minus 3.5 percentage points). The full sample includes 611 interviews among landline respondents and 406 interviews among cell phone respondents. Additional interviews were conducted among African-Americans, and combined with the African-Americans contacted in the initial sample of 75 for a total of 303 African-American respondents.
