The Grimm Brothers Who were the Grimm Brothers? ● The Grimm Brothers, Jacob and Ludwig, were brothers from Germany who lived during the 1800s. ● They are famous for their tellings of the fairytales that are told around the world to this day. ● Their stories have been changed and adapted countless times throughout history. ● Though there have been other writers famous for their fairytales, the Grimm Brothers may be the most famous. There have been numerous movies and countless written adaptations of this story. With all the different versions, there are very few “modern” ones that include some of the darker and grittier parts of the original fairytale told by the Brothers Grimm.
