Directions to The Chateau The trip from the Airport to The Chateau should take approximately 15 minutes. Once one leaves the airport, one reaches a round about (Fig. 1) leading to Luqa, Kirkop and Gudja. One has to take a right and head towards Gudja. The arrival to this village is enhanced by the view of Palazzo Bettina, a palace belonging to one of Malta’s most noble families (Fig. 2). Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Once this palace is reached, one then turns right towards the village of Ghaxaq. After driving through the by-pass of this village one reaches another round about (Fig. 3). If one drives straight one reaches our destintation, that is the village of Zejtun (Fig. 4). Fig. 3 Fig. 4 Once one reaches this village, one has to drive along a straight long road at the end of which one will take a left, drives by a secondary school and then reaches a small open space. A landmark in this open space is a public garden dating back to the British Colony period of Malta (Fig. 5). After driving by this garden, one will then reach and an old people’s home (Fig. 6). Fig. 5 Fig. 6 A block of social housing apartments is then reached on the left hand side. Having surpassed this social housing complex, one will be approaching the outskirts of the village of Zejtun. The road in question leads to Marsascala. It is here that one will then find Strawberry Hills (Fig. 7). Fig. 7 Keep going straight ahead from that Villa and turn on the first side street you will find on the right hand side of the driver. Keep driving and you will find The Chateau on the right hand side. .
