HOW TO GET THERE Manhattan Due to COVID-19, visitors are required to Battery Maritime Visit Governors Island reserve ferry tickets at govisland.org/ Building ferry. There will be a limited number of walk-up tickets available at the ferry. Soissons • Round trip tickets can be reserved This Summer! Landing beginning July 1. • Please arrive to board 30 minutes prior to the departure time. Governors Island is opening on July 15 • Ferries leave daily from Lower governors Manhattan at the Battery Maritime Building , located at 10 South Street island Accessible via a short ferry ride from Lower Manhattan starting July 15 and Brooklyn, Governors Island offers New Yorkers • Ferries leave from Red Hook/Atlantic Yankee Basin in Brooklyn on Saturdays and Pier brooklyn an affordable summer oasis. The Island will reopen Sundays starting July 18 Red Hook/ with limited capacity for passive recreation like biking, Atlantic Basin picnicking and more every day this summer. Governors Island ferries are free for: All NYCHA residents, children 12 and under, seniors 65 and over, current and former military servicemembers and anyone with an IDNYC. Round trip ferry tickets cost $3 for all other adults.
