Backus reviewed the changes made to Approach Policy 17.05. #296/16 K. KRAUSE - That Camrose County Council approve the revised AGD - Policy 17.05 - Public Approaches, as presented. 2379 CARRIED. Ohaton - Street Improvement Alternatives G. Backus reviewed the results of the survey sent to residents directly affected by street improvements of Taylor Street and Railway Avenue and Moville Street in Ohaton. #297/16 B. WILLOUGHBY - That Camrose County Council direct AGD - Administration to conduct a door to door survey to obtain direction 2395 from the residents in Ohaton who live along Taylor Street and Molville Street between Railway Avenue and Alberta Avenue as well as Railway Avenue and Alberta Avenue between Taylor Street and Molville Street, as to whether they support a Local Council Meeting - August 9, 2016 Page 3 of 231 ... Agenda Item # 4.1 Page 2 of 8 Council, August 9, 2016 Improvement Tax for the paving of those streets or whether they would prefer the road to be gravelled with the Clearview Dust Control product applied to the road, with no Local Improvement Tax. CARRIED. PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER'S REPORT Public Works Manager's Report G. Backus reviewed the Public Works Manager's report for July, 2016. #298/16 D. LYSENG - That the Public Works Manager's report for the Month of July, 2016 be accepted as information. CARRIED. Request for Construction of Access Road to NW4-49-21-W4 G. Backus reported we are in receipt of a request from the landowner of NW 4-49-21-W4 to construct a road within RR214 right of way so their renter is able to access the quarter section north of Secondary Highway 617. #299/16 D. LYSENG - That Council direct Administration to construct an AGD - Agricultural Access Road to NW 4-49-21-W4 within RR214 right of 2383 way including 1 1/2" gravel, subject to the suitability of the soil conditions for construction. CARRIED. #300/16 J. LYLE - That Council postpone debate on Motion #299/16 until further information on costs associated with construction can be obtained. CARRIED. New Norway Truckfill Construction Tender G. Backus reported tenders were sent out for the construction for the New Norway Truckfill. #301/16 K. KRAUSE - That Camrose County Council not accept any of the AGD - tenders received for the construction of the New Norway Truckfill 2386 (Project 3-14-15) as the tender prices exceeded the budget and further that County Staff proceed with the construction of the New Norway Truckfill with funding to come from the MSI Capital Fund. CARRIED. 9:00a.m. - Public Hearing - Road Closure Bylaw 1379 - 1070T within NW 20-45-19-W4 Reeve D. Gregorwich opened the Public Hearing at 9:00 am. No one joined the Public Hearing. A. Howard reviewed the Road Closure By-law 1379. Letters of No Objection were received from: Fortis Telus Atco No other written submissions were received. No verbal submissions were received. MILLER - That Council authorize Administration to forward Bylaw AGD - 1379 to close all that portion of Road Plan 1070T within NW 20-45- 2372 19-W4, to Alberta Transportation for approval. CARRIED. PROTECTIVE SERVICES REPORT Protective Services Manager's Report The Protective Services Manager's report for July, 2016 was distributed for information. #303/16 G. GILLESPIE - That the Protective Services Manager's report for the month of July 2016 be accepted as information. CARRIED. Request to renew Community Peace Officer Services Contract - Town of Bashaw #304/16 J. LYLE - That Camrose County Council renew the Community AGD - Peace Officer Services Contract with the Town of Bashaw, with an 2378 annual auto renewal clause, subject to either party giving the required 6 months' notice as per Section 15 of the Fee for Service Contract. CARRIED. Request to renew Community Peace Officer Services Contract - Village of Bawlf #305/16 K. KRAUSE - That Camrose County Council renew the Community AGD - Peace Officer Services Agreement with the Village of Bawlf for a 2380 one (1) year term. CARRIED. Special Event Application - Alberta Provincial Cycling Time Trial 2016 M. Kuzio reported we are in receipt of a request from the Juventus Cycling Club for permission to utilize specific roads for the 2016 Alberta Provincial Time Trial Championships and Provincial Team Time Trial scheduled for August 27 & 28, 2016. #306/16 D. LYSENG - That Camrose County Council grant a Special Event AGD - Permit for the 2016 Alberta Provincial Cycling Time Trial to be held 2385 on August 27 & 28, 2016 and that the fee for the permit be set at $100.00. CARRIED. Request for Stop Signs/Yield Signs M. Kuzio reported we are in receipt of a request from the resident at 47327 RRD 213 to have the County erect two (2) stop Signs at the intersection of RRD 212 and TWP 472. #307/16 T. MILLER - That Camrose County Council respectfully deny the AGD - request to have two (2) "Stop Signs" erected at the intersection of 2390 RRD 212 & TWP 472 as the sight lines from all directions entering the intersection are more than adequate.
