Pirates! We are going to be learning about pirates. What do you already know about pirates? Do you know where they live? What do pirates have for lunch? What are pirates always searching for? This is Captain Blackbeard. He is called Captain Blackbeard because he is the captain of a pirate ship and he has a black beard. He isn’t very happy and do you know why? He can’t find any treasure! All his pirate friends have found treasure but not Captain Blackbeard. This is Captain Pink Handed Pandora. She is called that because she is a captain and she always wears pink gloves. Captain Pink Handed Pandora has found some treasure. This is Captain Hook. He is called that because he is a captain and has a hook instead of a hand. Captain Hook has found some treasure. This is Captain Blue Locks. She is called that because she is a captain and has blue hair. Captain Blue Locks has found some treasure. Even Polly the parrot had found some treasure but not poor old Captain Blackbeard! Do you know why he has never found any treasure? He has never found any treasure because he has never learnt to read a treasure map! A map gives all sorts of clues to where the treasure is buried. If only Captain Blackbeard had paid attention in map reading class! Can you find where the treasure is buried? Lesson 1 You can create your own pirate! Is your pirate a boy or a girl? Does your pirate have an eye patch? What sort of clothes will your pirate wear? Don’t forget to give your pirate a swashbuckling name! .
