Product description MCT Oil (medium chain triglycerides) is obtained by fractionation of coconut oil (RBD coconut oil) with a specific and selected blend of fatty acids, caprylic (C8) and capric (C10). MCT Pure Cut oils and Lauric blends are free of additives, solvents, and catalyst residues. It is manufactured in an exclusive line, completely food compliant with dedicated processing units. Due to the very strict manufacturing conditions and the selection of raw material, MCT Pure Cut and Lauric Blends is a clear and colorless liquid. It is neutral in odor and taste. MCT oils are presented with two different grades. Pure Cut and Lauric blend. The lauric blend containing C12 Lauric acid chain as this contains anti-viral and anti- bacterial properties. Its excellent properties and chemical structure, make our MCT oils a versatile ingredient perfect for a wide range of applications. It can be used for auxiliary and base substances for pharmaceutical, veterinary and cosmetic preparations. It meets exceptional sensorial properties; very useful for flavours and food applications, as technological aid or lubricant ingredient for the treatment of food equipment's. Due to its small molecular size, MCT oil is digested much more rapidly than other long chain triglycerides; upon absorption, it is taken directly by the bloodstream and transported to the liver. This pathway allows the MCT oil to serve as an instant energy source. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION MCT powder is a powdered form of medium chain triglyceride oil (MCT Oil). MCT powder is derived from MCT Coconut oil by a select process of hydrolysis and fractionally distilled fatty acids. It is then processed into a free flowing powder by spray drying with Acacia fiber powder to encapsulate the oil in powdered form. Also called acacia gum or gum arabic, acacia fiber is made from the sap of the Acacia senegal tree, a small, shrub-like species native to Africa. Packed with soluble fiber and brimming with health-promoting benefits, acacia fiber has been used medicinally by native cultures for centuries and is a “must-have” in your gut health toolbox. The resulting white powder is water-soluble and has a neutral taste. * The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved acacia fiber powder as a safe food additive. It’s also included in the nutritional value of food as part of the total carbohydrate count. Due to low ash content, high carbon content, and natural pore structure, coconut shells are ideal for producing high quality activated carbon. Activated carbon produced from coconut shells typically have a tighter, more porous structure than their coal based counter parts making it ideal for absorption. Coconut shells were dried in the sun for 6 to 8 hours. Later crushed to very fine powder. Powder is then sieved and then transferred to the carbonization. As shown below on table 1. Coconut Oil contains approximately 13.5% glycerin, the highest among commercial fats and oils. Glycerin is an important high value by product obtained from the processing of fats and oils. Glyerin is a tribasic alcohol occurring in nature in the form of triglycerides, which are glyceryl esters of fatty acids. Glycerine is obtained by separation of triglycerides using the saponification method. Saponification yields soap and and spent soap lye containing 8 – 12% glycerine. The glycerine obtained as a byproduct from the process contains impurities and further undergoes refining to purify and concentrate it. As shown in the diagram above.
