This resulted in all military air shows and flypasts being cancelled from early in 2013 due to the sequestration problem created by the US Political Parties. It even spilled over into operational areas, with much of the USAF activities being restricted to operational flying in the Afghan and Iraqi areas and to training for deployment to these zones, units not involved in these activities were basically grounded for lack of funds. The USN grounded a number of Carrier Air Wings and cut back on carrier sailings! Let us hope that this problem does not happen again in 2014 - but I would not like to gamble on that not happening! If you check the addresses above you will see that Moray has moved to Castle Donington - please make sure any surface mail goes to his new address. Finally, from myself and Christine (she does all the important work making certain you get your magazine every month) and all the section Editors I would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
