Final in-person registration is Jan. 17, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Jan. 18, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Financial aid and payment plans are available for those full- and part-time credit students who qualify. With smaller-sized classes, personal attention, lower-cost tuition, and a top-notch faculty, Tunxis offers over 60 associate’s degrees and certificates that respond to career opportunities and workforce needs in such fields as health careers; human services; technological studies; business; early childhood education; and liberal arts and sciences, among others. Some of the new courses for spring include “Pueblo Indians,” “Medical Coding II,” “Perspectives in Gambling Addiction,” “Multicultural Literature of the American Southwest,” “Creating Writing: Screenwriting;” “History & Culture of Immigrant Groups in America;” and “Environmental Science.” For those who seek the flexibility of learning off-campus, many online courses are available. Online associate’s degrees in general studies and criminal justice, and criminal justice: corrections are also offered.
