Subhashree Panigrahi, Joint Director Shri Bhupendra Bhaskar, Deputy Director Shri Pritam Kumar, Assistant Director INTRODUCTION I, the Chairman of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, having been authorized by the Committee to submit the Report on its behalf, do hereby present this One Hundred Ninety Ninth Report on Action Taken by Government on the observations/recommendations contained in the One Hundred Ninety Seventh Report on Demands for Grants (2016-17) of the Ministry of Home Affairs. 2. The One Hundred and Ninety-seventh Report of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs was presented to the Rajya Sabha and laid on the Table of the Lok Sabha on 3rd May, 2016. After presentation of the Report, the copies thereof were sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs requesting them to furnish Action Taken Notes on the recommendations of the Committee contained in the Report. The Ministry furnished the Action Taken Notes on the said report to the Committee on 14th September, 2016. 3. The Minister of Home Affairs laid the statement on the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the said Report of the Committee on the Table of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on 14th December, 2016, pursuant to the direction of Chairman, Rajya Sabha dated 24th September 2004. 4. The Committee considered the draft One Hundred and Ninety Ninth Report and adopted the same at its meeting held on 31st January 2017. 5. The recommendations/observations of the Committee are printed in bold letters. P.
