McElroy singled to left to put runners on the corners. After a Tied Entering 8th: 3-0 flyout to shallow right, McElroy was caught stealing second but Schulze sprinted home to put the Chiefs on top 2-1. Kenny Peoples-Walls Trail Entering 8th: 0-8 Lead Entering 9th: 14-0 and Ronald Castillo collected consecutive singles to put two on with two outs. Steve Bean singled up the middle to put the Chiefs on top 3-1. Tied Entering 9th: 1-1 Trail Entering 9th: 0-7 LONG BALLS TIE GAME: Beloit tied the game against Petree in the bottom of the fourth. Ryan Huck led off with a solo home run to left, Wins in last AB: 2 his second of the day. After McElroy made a diving catch in left-center to rob Luis Baez, Michael Soto tied the game with a solo home run to Opp. Wins in last AB: 2 center. The two homers were the first allowed by Petree this season. The Chiefs broke through against Andres One-run game 4-1 Avila in the top of the ninth. Matthew Young clubbed a double to left-center and scored on a double by Cesar Valera to right-center. Valera Two-run games 2-1 moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by McElroy for a 5-3 Chiefs lead. Juan Herrera added insurance when he doubled off Scoring 4 or less: 7-5 the center field batters eye to bring home McElroy for the 6-3 lead. Kyle Barraclough struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth for his Scoring 5 or more: 8-2 second save. Peoria trails the all-time series with Beloit 184-185 in the regular season and 3-3 in the playoffs. Last season the Snappers 4/15 @ LC Snowed Out were 77-62 and lost in the Western Division finals to the Quad Cities River Bandits. Before last season, the Snappers were affiliated with the 4/16 @ LC W 4-0 (7 inn) Minnesota Twins from 2005-2012. From 1982-2004 the Snappers were affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers so this is just their third 4/16 @ LC W 4-0 (7 inn) affiliation in their 32 year history. The Snappers won their lone MWL title in 1995. They lost in the MWL Championship to Lansing, 4/17 @ FTW L 5-6 4/18 @ FTW L 4-9 managed by former Chiefs skipper Julio Garcia, in 2003. Peoria is 130-152 all-time against Oakland A’s affiliates with matchups against 4/19 @ FTW L 10-15 Madison (1983-93), West Michigan (1994-96), Kane County (2003-10) and Burlington (2011-12). 4/20 OFF 4/21 CR W 5-3 4/22 CR W 4-1 SEASON SERIES: The Chiefs and Snappers will play 19 times this season, 10 in Wisconsin and nine in Peoria. Beloit comes to Peoria May 4/23 CR W 2-0 5-7 and the Chiefs are back in Beloit June 4-6. The Chiefs return to Beloit for three games at the end of July and Beloit comes to Dozer Park 4/24 CR Rained Out for a pair of August three-game series. Last season the Snappers won the season series 8-7 with a 6-2 mark in Beloit. In 2012 the Chiefs 4/25 QC W 8-4 opened the season winning 2 of 3 in Beloit but the Snappers won the season series 10-8 with a 4-2 mark in Peoria. In 2011 the two teams met 4/26 QC W 3-2 4/27 QC L 3-15 12 times with Beloit winning the season series 7-5. The teams split six games in Peoria but Beloit won the final matchup in September at 4/28 @ BEL Rained Out Pohlman Field to take four of six in Wisconsin. Peoria took the 2011 season series 6-5. The Chiefs are 13-23 over the last four seasons in 4/29 @ BEL W 11-6 (7inn) Beloit.
