Specialized accreditation is granted to certain of the college’s individual programs. The Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing is accredited by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The education program is approved for training of elementary and secondary teachers by the State of Oregon’s Teachers Standards and Practices Commission. The education department also operates the Linfield Pre-Kindergarten program accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The music program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. The chemistry program is approved by the American Chemical Association. Programs offered online through the Division of Continuing Education are authorized by the Washington Student Achievement Council. The college maintains affiliation with the American Baptist Churches, U.S.A. Linfield College reserves the right to withdraw courses at any time, change fees, change the calendar and rules regarding admission and graduation requirements, and change any other regulations affecting the student body. Changes shall become effective whenever the proper authorities so determine and shall, at the discretion of such authorities, apply not only to prospective students but also to those who at that time are matriculated in the college.
