Tyler Chatwood pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts … has now allowed a home run in four consecutive starts. Pat Valaika recored his first Major League pinch-hit home run to take the lead in the seventh inning, the Rockies third pinch-hit home run of the season (last: Trevor Story, Friday vs. San Francisco). Giants Notes The San Francisco Giants have now lost a season-high six straight games … have been outscored 47-26 over that span. Ty Blach made his first career start against the Rockies, fifth appearance … pitched 6.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts … allowed a season-high tying two home runs (also: May 6 at Cincinnati) Denard Span went 1-for-2 with a season-high three walks … recorded a season-high two stolen bases … is batting .333 (21-for-63) over his last 16 games.
