Presently, the construction work is going on for pre-engineered 2-storeyed buildings which are expected to be completed within next six months. Hopefully, in the month of June-2016 some teaching departments may be shifted to Tulmulla (Ganderbal). These pro- grammes are likely to include Integrated B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences and a couple of B. Tech. courses in the School of Engineering and Technology. In addition to this, integrated M.Phil-Ph.D programme is likely to be started in the Department of Urdu, Mathematics and Political Science. Besides some short-term certificate/ diploma courses in Dress Making, Mobile Repairing, Auto Mobile Engineering, Library Science, Physical Education, Legal Drafting and Petition Writing, Desk Top Writing & Food Science Technology are being started at Tulmulla (Ganderbal) for the benefit of the local community. Also, the University is planning to launch some on-line MOOCs courses including Certif- icate Course in Pre-Primary Teachers Training, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Computer Applications. Besides these, the University has also introduced higher order skill development vocational degree programmes namely B. VOC in Retail Management & B.VOC in Tourism & Hospitality in consonance with the national requirements as outlined by the National Skills Development Corporation and the guide lines of the UGC. The academic programmes run by this University have been designed in a manner to pursue and promote excellence, innovation and creativity. A significant departure has been made from traditional lecture method and new ICT enabled pedagogy has been adopted.
