Moreover, calllphorids and other families of Diptera like Sarcophagidae, Muscidae are vectors of number of diseases like cholera, poliomyelitis, typhoid fever, leprosy, tuberculosis etc. K6eping in view the medical importance of these flies, an attempt is made to enlist the calliphorld species from India.
