It surveyed Lebanese territory using binoculars and maps. 2 May 1215 From inside the occupied Shab‘a Farms, several explosions and rounds of light-weapon fire 1400 were heard in the area around Ruwaysat al-Alam. 4 May 0800 At Birkat Ba‘tha’il on the outskirts of the town of Kafr Shuba, an Israeli enemy patrol comprising two Hummer vehicles appeared. Six soldiers disembarked and crossed the barbed - wire fence in the direction of the position belonging to the Indian contingent of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). They crossed approximately 25 metres over the line of withdrawal. At 0815 hours, the soldiers left in the direction of occupied territory. 10 May 2150 Opposite the town of Wazzani, the Israeli enemy fired four flares over Jisr al-Ghajar. At 2235 2205 hours, an enemy patrol comprising a military vehicle appeared from occupied territory. Three soldiers disembarked. One of them directed a searchlight in the direction of the Wazzani river. At 2240 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 14 May 1115 From inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the town of Udaysah, near point T B37, an Israeli enemy patrol comprising a Hummer vehicle mounted with a machine gun appeared. The patrol pointed the machine gun in the direction of Lebanese territory. At 1255 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 18 May 2220 Opposite the town of Wazzani, the Israeli enemy launched a suspicious object over the occupied town of Ghajar. 19 May 1200 From inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the town of Ramiya, the Israeli enemy pointed a Merkava tank cannon in the direction of a Lebanese Army patrol. At 1230 hours, it redirected the cannon towards occupied territory. 20 May 1215 From inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the town of Udaysah, near point TB37, an Israeli enemy patrol comprising a Hummer vehicle mounted with a machine gun appeared. The patrol pointed the machine gun in the direction of Lebanese territory. At 1315 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 21 May 1130 From inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the town of Kafr Killa, near point B82, a member of an Israeli enemy foot patrol pointed his weapon in the direction of Lebanese territory. At 1145 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 21– 0800 Opposite the town of Naqurah on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, an Israeli enemy bulldozer 22 May did levelling and cleaning work on the road running along the technical fence inside occupied Lebanese territory east of point M1 on the Blue Line, in an area to which Lebanon maintains a claim, over an area approximately 150 metres long and 6 metres wide. The enemy had begun the work on 20 May with a Poclain bulldozer and a Bobcat vehicle. While that was going on, a Merkava tank and a vehicle mounted with a surveillance camera were stat ioned at the Israeli enemy position east of Dikiyah gate, and several enemy soldiers were deployed at the worksite. The work ended at 1100 hours. 23 May 1520 In Jabal al-Shahl on the outskirts of the town of Shab‘a, an Israeli enemy foot patrol comprising seven soldiers crossed approximately seven metres over the line of withdrawal 2/17 19-12318 A/73/951 S/2019/579 Date Time Nature of violation and attempted unsuccessfully to abduct the herder Isma’il Zahrah. They seized approximately 200 goats and led them back into the occupied Shab‘a Farms. At 1715 hours, the herd was released back into Lebanese territory near point OP2 belong to the UNIFIL Indian contingent. 27 May 1915 At the Fatimah Gate in the town of Kafr Killa, while the Israeli enemy was installing a metal fixture on the concrete wall near point B85, several townspeople gathered to protest the enemy tearing part of a picture of a martyr that had been attached to the wall. At 1930 hours, the enemy launched a smoke bomb and a percussion bomb in the direction of Lebanese territory, causing citizens Hussein Yahya and Ibrahim Serhan to suffer from asphyxiation. At 1950 hours, enemy soldiers threw stones at Lebanese territory without injuring anyone. At 2030 hours, the enemy launched a remote-controlled aircraft near point B85. It crossed approximately 10 metres into Lebanese territory. 28 May 0115 In the Abbasiyah-Hasbayya area, the Israeli enemy launched three flares into Lebanese 0130 territory over the road near position 28-4 belonging to the UNIFIL Spanish contingent. 29 May 0830 Opposite the town of Udaysah, inside occupied Lebanese territory, near point TP36 (1), along the Blue Line in an area to which Lebanon maintains a claim, an Israeli enemy patrol comprising a crane and four workers appeared, and worked on installing a metal fixture atop T-wall units. At 1000 hours, the work ended and the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 30 May 0900 Opposite the town of Udaysah, near point TP36 (1), an Israeli enemy patrol comprising a civilian bus and car appeared. Some 40 persons in civilian dress disembarked and conducted a tour, taking photographs of the Lebanese side. At 1130 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. 31 May 0830 From inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the town of Udaysah, near point TP37, an Israeli enemy patrol comprising a Hummer vehicle mounted with a machine gun appeared. One of the patrol’s members pointed the machine gun in the direction of Lebanese territory. At 0925 hours, the patrol left in the direction of occupied territory. Sea violations committed in May 2019 Date Time Nature of violation 1 May 0120 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, from inside occupied Palestinian territorial waters, the Israeli enemy directed a searchlight towards Lebanese territorial waters as follows: – at 0120 hours for ten minutes; – at 0255 hours for one minute; – at 0335 hours for ten seconds. 1155 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011), of 1 October 2011, for three minutes, proceeding on its way for some 260 metres. The launch then left in the direction of occupied Palestinian territorial waters. 1256 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011) for 16 minutes, proceeding on its way for some 260 metres. The launch then left in the direction of occupied Palestinian territorial waters. 2 May 1825 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011) for three minutes, proceeding on its way for some 405 metres. The launch then left in the direction of occupied Palestinian territorial waters. 3 May 0445 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011) for one hour and five minutes, proceeding on its way for some 555 metres. The launch then left in the direction of occupied Palestinian territorial waters. 0600 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011) for 25 minutes, proceeding on its way for some 405 metres. The launch then left in the direction of occupied Palestinian territorial waters. 1810 Off Ra’s al-Naqurah, an Israeli enemy military launch violated the southern maritime boundary established by Decree No. 6433 (2011) for three minutes, proceeding on its way for some 405 metres.
