Using Google Blog Search (http://blogsearch.google.com/) and Blog Search Engine (http://www.blogsearchengine.com/), search using keywords for blogs that interest you. 2. Read through the blog posts and their comments. 3. Look through the archive of the blogger. 4. Answer the following questions: Why do you think people blog? How do you think blogging has changed the internet experience? Many libraries use blogs to deliver information to their users and to their staff. Do you think this is an effective way to deliver information? Why or why not? 5. Using these responses, go to the York University - Web 2.0 Workshop Blog at: http://yorkelearn.wordpress.com/ 6. Click on the post called “Blogs and Vlogs” located on the right side of the page. 7. Post a comment using the responses to the questions above. How to Post a Comment on a Blog • Go to the bottom of the blog post you are looking at • At the bottom of the post, you will find a comments box (for the York University – Web 2.0 Blog the box is titled “Leave a Comment”) • You are required to fill in the “Name” and “Mail” (email) field. • The name you select will appear at the top of your comment but your email will remain private • Simply enter in your comment and select “Submit” **Tip** Your post may not appear right away because of the security features for the blog. Additionally you may not be allowed to post a comment on some blogs without creating an account or becoming a “friend” to the blogger. 1.
