F Connor Dewar and F Mike Liambas scored and Kahkonen stopped all 35 shots faced for his fifth shutout in his last 11 games. Iowa lost 2-1 in overtime at San Jose (3/2). Anas scored the lone goal and Kahkonen made 25 saves. Anas leads the AHL in scoring with 64 points (19-45=64), assists and PPA (31). Menell leads AHL defensemen in assists and ranks second in scoring with 43 points (5-38=43) and PPA (19). Louie Belpedio ranks fourth amongst league defensemen in shots (144). F Nico Sturm ranks T-3rd amongst AHL rookies in GWG (4). Connor Dewar and Sturm rank T-5th amongst AHL rookie forwards with plus-10 ratings. Kahkonen leads the AHL in wins and shutouts (7) and ranks fourth in GAA and SV%. He was named the AHL Goalie of the Month going 8-1-0 with a 1.22 GAA, a .959 SV% and four shutouts in nine games in February.
