NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF PARKS, RECREATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids for Bear Mountain Inn Entrance Improvements-Phase II at Bear Mountain State Park, Town of Town of Stony Point, Rockland County, New York will be received by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), Palisades Region at 3006 Seven Lakes Drive, P.O. Box 207, Bear Mountain, NY 10911 until 2:30 P.M. local time, June 13, 2018 when they will be publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of: General Construction Contract See below D005370 $47,500.00 Forty seven thousand five hundred dollars and 00/cents MINORITY AND WOMEN OWNED BUSINESS PARTICIPATION GOALS The following goals for MWBE participation on this project have been established at: Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) 13% Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) 17% PROJECT COMPLETION The completion date for this project is three hundred sixty five (365) days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller's Office. Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Table 14). The Contractor agrees, in the event the Contractor fails to complete all work in time, to pay the State liquidated damages as stated in the General Conditions Article 14.10, for each day of delay (per phase) in the physical completion of the work. Starting on the advertisement date, the Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge and obtained in person or by mail from the Capital Construction Office at 3006 Seven Lakes Drive, Bear Mountain, NY 10911 for a non-refundable fee of $49.00 (per set) and shipping and handling as applicable. BONDS The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract. All RFI's are due by: 4:30 P.M. on June 04, 2018 RFI's received after this date will not be processed. There will be a pre-bid meeting on May 30, 2018 10:00 at Bear Mountain Inn Scope of Work: A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidental services necessary to perform all work associated with the Bear Mountain Inn Site Rehabilitation Phase II, as shown, specified, or directed in accordance with the plans and specifications, located in Bear Mountain State Park, Town of Stony Point, Rockland County, NY. B. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Furnish, installation and removal of any/all work zone traffic control along adjacent Seven Lakes Drive and internal park circulation routes, including any temporary barriers and/or signage. 2. Furnish, installation and continual monitoring of any/all erosion control devices as shown on the plans, with additional as necessary toward compliance with the Stormwater Management permit (SWPPP) issued for the project. 3. Tree and vegetative undergrowth removal as shown and described within the Contract Documents. 4. Clearing, grubbing, with associated grading and drainage improvements as necessary for installation of both improved and new internal park roadways. 5. Furnish and installation of new asphalt paved roads and ancillary paved areas as shown on the plans. 6. Furnish and installation of all electrical and conduit features as shown and described within the Contract Documents. 7. Furnish and installation of all access gates, parapet stones, stone curbing, directional signage, and pavement striping. 8. Furnish and installation of timber guiderail and stone park entrance sign, granite slabs (approx.20), landscape berming, and associated plantings. 9. Furnish and installation of major and minor trees; along with shrubs and perennial plantings as shown on plans. 10. Restoration of all disturbed areas (topsoil and seeding). By Michael Tesik .
