Selected project experience Dr Lane is recorded as having provided her professional services on 448 projects since she commenced work at Arup. This is in her capacity as a fire safety engineer, and has incorporated fire safety strategic advice on projects around the world, numerical analysis including structural fire analysis, smoke control analysis, evacuation analysis, external fire spread analysis; outputs include the production of reports for RIBA stages, final project handover reports (as-built condition and management requirements), existing building fire strategies, fire risk assessment reports; as well as the production of life safety strategies, property protection and business continuity strategies; etc In her project work, and expert witness project work, she has had to review many fire test reports and third party certification documents, both for projects the responsibility of Arup, and on half of contractor clients. She has witnessed fire tests for ductwork, doors, sprinklers, glazing, structural fire performance, etc. Dr Lane is recorded as having worked on 95 projects classified as Design and Build, with the Principal Contractor as her client for 62 of these projects. Building Manual and Health and Safety File Terminal 2 Dublin International Airport; client Dublin Airport Authority; 20 I 0 Sign off and preparation of the fire certificate (as built fire strategy), and associated fire drawings, for Part I of the Safety File required by Regulations 13 and 21 of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006. Sign off and preparation of the fire safety manual in accordance with BS9999 for Part 2 of the Safety File (O&M Manuals). Compliance and completeness check of the fire safety information for all active and passive fire protection systems relied upon in the as built fire strategy, before accepting into the O+M Manual. St George's Court, office building London; Client London+ Regional, Principal contractor Kier, 2014 Preparation of the fire safety manual index for the principal contractor Kier. This was then located in the Health and Safety File, forming Part A of the O+M Manual produced by Kier and their team. Preparation of the detailed as built fire strategy for the purposes of handover, and compliance with Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations. This document contained the fire safety information to enable Kier comply with BS9999, and specifically the relevant parts of Design Information, Fire Safety Policy Statement, and Fire Safety Documentation. Holland Green, high rise residential buildings (3No.) Kensington; client Chelsfield Developments Ltd, principal contractor Mace, 2015 Preparation of the final fire strategy for the buildings (7-9 storeys), provided for the principal contractor Mace, for handover to the Responsible Person as required by Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations. This report included handover information for the building manager with a summary of pertinent fire safety information in order to develop the building's fire risk assessment, and guidance on where to find more detailed fire safety information. Preparation of a fire safety manual index in accordance with BS9999 for incorporation in the Health and Safety file, referring to the information provided in the final fire strategy and in other parts of the O+M Manual produced by Mace and their team. The Health and Safety File, formed part of the O&M manual. Existing building fire strategies Tate St Ives Commission to produce a fire strategy and drawings recording the existing fire strategy in the art gallery at that time. 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, London Preparation of an existing building fire strategy, for this high rise office building, incorporating an assessment for a new rate of occupancy, relying on the existing fire safety measures. Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf, London Preparation of a fire strategy for the expansion of the existing Jubilee Place Retail Mall at Canary Wharf, London; incorporating existing building levels and the existing building fire safety measures.
