Meeting with deputations/ individuals and the Administration The Bills Committee deliberated (Index of proceedings attached at Annex). 2. The Bills Committee received views from 115 deputations/individuals attending the meeting, and took note of 44 written submissions from deputations/individuals who did not attend the meeting. 3. The Bills Committee requested the Administration to provide the following information: (a) relevant information on arrangement relating to co- location of boundary control facilities adopted by other places/countries; and provide justifications for the co-location arrangement at the West Kowloon Station of the Guangzhou- Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link as proposed under the Bill; and (b) the reasons for concluding that the Bill would not contravene Articles 4, 11, 19, 22(3), 31, 35, 38, 39, 41, 80 and 87 of the Basic Law. - 13 - (Post-meeting note: The Chinese and English versions of the Administration's response were issued to members vide LC Paper No. CB(4)870/17-18(01) on 6 and 26 April 2018 respectively.) 4. The Bills Committee also requested the Administration to provide an overall response to the views expressed by deputations/individuals at the meeting.
