We have ended the year 2018 in a blaze loaded with well-scheduled calendar events, special events, lectures and discourses by several invited eminent scholarly personalities, cultural activities and Vidya Vikas school events, all precisely catered for the Hindu community of D/FW area and beyond, promoting Hindu tradition, culture and history. Maintenance of Temple facility became major priority with twenty five plus years of serving to the community, accommodating to the sigmoidal growth and demand of the Hindu communities around the metropolis. The DFW Hindu temple has remained as the mother temple, visited boundlessly not only by Hindu devotees but also by all area schools & campuses as a resource for learning Hindu religion & traditions. Regular Temple tours have served to these needs, facilitating the inter-faith education, gained increased focus of local area TV channels as the “the epicenter” of Hindu religion, culture and traditions. Together, these services have amplified the demand for persistent maintenance, upgrading and improvisation on both structural and infrastructural front, implementing for a model Hindu religious organization in the USA. I stay privileged, honored and blessed interacting and looking over such opportunities serving as the first volunteer under the banner of the President for DFW Hindu Temple for 2018. We have celebrated all events specific to our Deities in the unique way with you devotees representing from different communities. Beside the calendar events, some of the special events that highlighted the year were ‘Shree Jagannatha Kathamrita’ signifying ‘Mahaprabhu Jagannatha Pancharatra Mahatmya’’ puja presided by, none other than, His Excellency, the King, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb of Puri, the sole primary hereditary Sevaka of Prabhu Jagannatha along with other eminent dignitary speakers, Pujya Paramahamsa Prajnanananda Maharaj of Kriya Yoga International and Pujya Swami Sarveshananda Saraswati Maharaj of Chinmaya Mission, Dallas. Then “Shree Bhagwat Katha” by Sri Mridul Krishna Goswami Ji including the release of 12th century saint poet, Sri Jayadeva’s ‘Shri Gita Govindam’ bhajan CD first time ever for Prabhu jagannatha Sangeeta Seva during Katha. The visit of ‘Brahmrishi Sri Gurudev’ twice during the year from Sri Brahmrishi Ashram, Tirupati has blessed the life of several devotees including mine in most spiritual way. Then the ‘Anammacharya keerthans’ by SVASA group complementing the Srinivas Kalyanam celebration was one of the most well- crafted collaboration producing high quality event while enriching temple devotee community.
