Spotlight on Emmanuelle Vaugier Urban Trendz, March 2004 Local beauty Emmanuelle Vaugier is taking Hollywood by storm. She’s playing Lauren in Call Me, The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss; on USA Network airing March 29th, Dr. Helen Bryce; Lex Luthor's wife on the WB's hit drama Smallville, and Jasmine, daughter of a Sultan in New Line's Secondhand Lions opposite Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and Haley Joel Osment. Emmanuelle currently plays Nikki in the TV series One Tree Hill Tuesdays on The WB. She starred in WB comedy My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, and in the film 40 Days and 40 Nights, opposite Josh Hartnett. She’s also completed starring roles in three independent films: Suddenly Naked, as a Latin pop sensation, Mindstorm, a sci­fi thriller, and Ripper, a psychological thriller about students disappearing after enrolling in a class about serial killers. On TV she’s had several gueststarring roles including, The Handler, Outer Limits, Higher Ground opposite Hayden Christensen and in the WB's Charmed. Emmanuelle also appeared in the Emmy Award nominated miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family, where she portrayed Mike Love's wife Suzanne. Vaugier was born in Vancouver, grew up in a French­speaking home, and has homes in both L.A. and Vancouver. She’s worn local Vancouver designer Cheri Milaney's fashions on the red carpet and on fashion­mag photoshoots. Emmanuelle has graced the covers of Canadian magazines In Style, Modern Dog, and Flare.
