The innovative project aims to improvement in the existing social economic status through various agro-based income generating opportunity particularly vegetables and on-farm resource management for self-sustained community development. Major Activities • Group formation and social mobilization • Direct cash support to community; • Training on off-seasonal, seasonal vegetable farming and goat farming; • Boar (Water pump) support; • Saving and credit activity; • Exposure visit; • Linkage with local government. Approach/Strategy The project aims to increase in standard of living through social mobilization and financial accessibility while using local resource with a strong participation of community especially focusing on women Major • Increased in saving habit and access on credit facility through Achievement/Result/ Community organization saving and credit activity; Outcomes • Reduction of poverty through Vegetable production and goat farming; • Achieve knowledge about importance of group, leadership development, and process of account keeping; • Establishment of Cooperative by gathering member of Community organization; • Structure of water supply deep boring and small cannel for irrigation; • Established close coordination with government agencies and stakeholder; Major lesson learnt • Saving and credit facility is essential for rural remote community because they do not have access on banking and financial facility. • Program should be design according to desire of community. • Regular follow up is the essential tools for a accomplish result. .
