Israel Harding U.E.L. 19 August 2012 I. Lieut. Israel HARDING U.E.L. was born in 1733 in Warwick, Kent, RI, USA. He became a Lieutenant in the military during the French and Indian War, out of Colchester, Connecticut, Capt Stephen Hosmer's Company between 1755 and 1756. He immigrated in 1760 to Horton from CT; left 1771 and went back to CT, and returned again to Horton, NS in 1783. He died before 18 Jul 1794 at the age of 61 in probably Horton, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada per Esther Clark Wright's book "Planters and Pioneers". His burial place is unknown. Administration of his estate was given to the widow, Sarah, on 18 Jul 1794 in Horton, Kings County, Nova Scotia “No.37, Inventory of the Estate of the Late Israel Harding of Horton, Deceased". Israel was also known as "Col", "Capt." (Incorrect). He has reference number 1231. Lieut.
