---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRODUCT DATASHEET Calix E3-48C r2 Sealed Access Node DESCRIPTION The Calix E3-48C r2 Sealed Access Node provides 48 VDSL2/ADSL2+ with integrated POTS (VoIP) subscriber ports which may be easily deployed in networks using fiber or copper transport uplinks. The Calix E3-48C r2 supports up to eight bonded VDSL2 ports or two 10GE SFP+ and three GE SFP uplinks. With support for SIP and H.248 VoIP protocols, the E3-48C r2 is a cost effective way to retire legacy TDM DLCs and transform the network from TDM to all IP. The E3-48C r2 provides VDSL2 vectoring on both the copper trunk interfaces as well as the subscriber pairs ensuring the best possible performance over existing copper infrastructure. KEY ATTRIBUTES DSL AND POTS INTERFACE DENSITY: The Calix E3-48C r2 COPPER BONDED SERVICES/TRANSPORT: The Calix E3-48C Sealed Access Node is equipped with 48 VDSL2 / ADSL2+ r2 enables service providers to deliver high bandwidth symmetric Fallback subscriber ports. The E3-48C r2 optimizes subscriber services to subscribers utilizing copper bonding in locations where VDSL2 performance by supporting vectoring to ensure the best fiber may not be available. The E3-48C r2 delivers up to 8 bonded possible performance over existing copper infrastructure. The pairs per subscriber for high bandwidth services or these bonded E3-48C r2 units support 48 analog POTS ports for VoIP based pairs may be used to connect to a next E3-48C r2 hop location for services. The unit supports pair bonding in both ADSL2+ and transport. VDSL2 modes across all 48 ports enabling any port(s) to be bonded with any port(s). VECTORING: The E3-48C r2 supports VDSL2 Unit Level Vectoring as well as System Level Vectoring, through an external INTEGRATED HIGH-CAPACITY UPLINKS: The Calix E3- Vector Control Processor, to scale vectored VDSL2 nodes up to 48C Sealed Access Node is unique in its ability to support 8 pair 192 ports. Vectoring reduces crosstalk to maximize bandwidth vectored bonded uplinks or 2*10GE MSA compliant SFP+ and ensuring the highest VDSL2 subscriber services over copper 3*1GE/2.5GE MSA compliant SFP interfaces in a single unit, outside plant wiring. ensuring the best possible uplink performance over both copper and fiber networks. When utilizing copper uplinks, the E3-48C MANAGEMENT: The Calix E3-48C r2 Sealed Access Node r2 can be daisy chained from an E7 or another E3-48C r2.
