Executive Biographies Tom Stiehle Vice President, Business Management and CFO Tom Stiehle is vice president, Business Management and Chief Financial Officer for Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. In this role, Tom is responsible for all financial, contracts, estimating and pricing, finance and business management functions, as well as Information Technology functionality and services at Ingalls. Before being selected for this position, Tom served as vice president, Contracts and Pricing for Ingalls and was responsible for estimating, pricing, contract negotiations and administration. Prior to joining Huntington Ingalls Industries in 2011, Tom worked for Northrop Grumman, Aerospace Sector, for twenty-four years. Tom began his career with Grumman Aircraft Corp. as a design engineer, with tours in Product Operations, Estimating and Pricing, and Contracts, securing awards for both DoD and commercial programs. He held positions of increasing responsibility within the business organization to include Contracts & Pricing Manager, Business Manager and Director of Business Management, overseeing all production business operations at Northrop Grumman’s Joint-STARS program valued at more than $3 billion. He also served as the Director of Business Management for the Advanced Capabilities Development IPT responsible for new business pursuits, Business Proposal Manager for Northrop Grumman’s USAF Tanker bid, and as the Director of Business Management for NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance programs. Tom received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Hofstra University. He also earned an MBA from Adelphi University and a master’s in acquisition and contract management from Florida Institute of Technology. Tom currently serves on the Board of Advisors to the Dean of the Mitchell School of Business at the University of South Alabama, as well as the executive sponsor of Ingalls’ employee resource group the African American Shipbuilders Association.
