Due to inclement weather last year's contest was unavoidably cancelled. 1hope that the recent wintry conditions are now far be~ind us so that the first of th~ Inter Schools' Competitions# organised by my Committee, during th~ month of March, will definitely take place. As no one School has proved to be particularly dominant this season the final outcome should be extremely interesting. Most of the fourteen educational establishments from which the County Under 18 XV was selected will be participating. Each in their own particular fashion will be aiming to reach the Final and emerge victorious. We may even find that a new name will emerge to be engraved on the trophy. Good Luck to vou allili To the Macclesfield Club, who are always so ready to promote the development of Youth Rugby-our sincere thanks for your ever ready assistance. We also express our gratitude to ail those who have made any contribution to the success of today-referees, groundsmen, caterers and soon. Finally 1 must refer to the generosity of Abbott & Owen Investment Services Ltd., of Chester. Through their timely financial assistance we are able, not only to offer some hospitality to our visitors but we can continue to present very attractive medals to both the Winners and Runners-Up, mementoes which 1feel sure the recipients will greatly tre~su"e.
