KIRTLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL PROUDLY PRESENTS WASHINGTON DC MAY 14 - 17, 2019 Tuesday, May 14th 7:00 AM Students arrive at school – 9152 Chillicothe Rd, Kirtland, OH 44094 (motor coaches arrive by 7:30 am) 8:00 AM Depart school for Washington DC; rest and meal stops will be made every 2 – 3 hours; students to pack lunch (rest stop – Somerset MM112 / Glacier Hills or Sidling Hill if needed) 2:45 PM Arrive in Gettysburg for a guided tour of the battlefields (confirmed 2 @ 3:15 pm – 5:00 pm). 5:10 PM Enjoy dinner at Gettysburg Outlet Mall (included). 6:10 PM Depart for Washington DC where we will visit the Jefferson Memorial (based on driver hours this might be omitted and seen on another day) 9:30 PM Check into our hotel for a three-night stay: Hyatt House 45520 Dulles Plaza Sterling, VA 20166 703-435-9002 ***Private nighttime supervision is provided*** Wednesday, May 15th 6:45 AM Breakfast at the hotel - (included). 7:45 AM Depart the hotel for the National Museum of the Marine Corp followed by a visit to the Pentagon Memorial. 12:00 PM Enjoy lunch at Pentagon City Food Court (included). Next, we visit Arlington Cemetery to view The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing of the Guard Ceremony, and the Kennedy Gravesites followed by the Iwo Jima Memorial. Later this afternoon, we visit the American History Museum. 6:45 PM Arrive at Bowlmor Lanes for pizza and two hours of bowling (included) - Rockville, MD (15720 Shady Grove). 9:30 PM Return to the hotel - ***Private nighttime supervision is provided*** Thursday, May 16th 7:30 AM Group wake-up call. 8:15 AM Breakfast at the hotel - (included). 9:15 AM Depart the hotel for the Udvar Hazy Center (Air & Space - Dulles). 12:00 PM Lunch at L'Enfant Plaza (included); after lunch, we visit the Air & Space Museum followed by a guided tour of the Capitol (confirmed 85 @ 2:30 pm).
