Investments in Culture: in preference smart investments, and/or if fully embedded in wider development and geographical strategies (RIS3 & Macro-regional “MRSs” and Sea Basin strategies “SBSs”). Cultural heritage can be associated to investments in Tourism (MRSs). Cultural Tourism & Culture through the Smart Specialisation Strategies mainly identified as CCIs eg. European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg and the macro-regional strategies) contributed effectively in the objectives of the 2018 EYCH. In modern economies, interregional and macro-regional investments in creative industries and cultural clusters could have an influence in industrial transformative processes.
