Traditions: Are these fables and commandments of men or are they of Christ? Author: Pierre Dungee www.getyouranswersonline.com As we explore what traditions are, let’s first find out what the word tradition means: noun 1. the handing down from generation to generation of the same customs, beliefs, Especially by word of mouth 2. the body of customs, thought, practices, etc, belonging to particular country, people, family, or institution over a relatively long period 3. a specific custom or practice of long standing 4. a doctrine or body of doctrines regarded as having been established by Christ or the apostles though not contained in Scripture 5. a body of laws regarded as having been handed down from Moses orally and only committed to writing in the 2nd century AD 6. the beliefs and customs of Islam supplementing the Koran, esp as embodied in the Sunna 7. the act of formally transferring ownership of movable property; delivery Let’s further refine our definition: Traditions are the handing down from generation to generation a doctrine or a body of doctrines regarded as having been established by Christ or the apostles though not contained in Scripture, including the body of customs, beliefs, thought, and practices belonging to a particular country, people, family or institution over a relatively long period of time. 1 Notice in our definition that we see the following phrase: … the handing down from generation to generation a doctrine or a body of doctrines regarded as having been established by Christ or the apostles though not contained in Scripture… We can already see the deception in traditions and that deception is evident because these traditions are NOT ANCHORED in SCRIPTURE. This is a prime example of building your house on shifting sand, as shown in scripture here: Matthew 7:26 - And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: As you can see, Jesus is telling His disciples that if they do NOT OBEY the Lord Jesus Christ, that person is foolish. We can find the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout scripture. So if we do things that are NOT what Jesus tells us to do, then we are indeed FOOLISH, and you can see in these traditions that we will show you that many of those traditions ARE foolish. IF we are in Christ, who is our ROCK, we will not be deceived, but if we make up things that are NOT in scripture, you can be deceived into thinking that what you are doing is of God when it is not. In the next couple of traditions in the Philippines, we will show you how their traditions are not of God, but demonic. Their traditions are in fact VERY demonic, and we will see this in the graphic pictures that are in the article. After we look at the wrong, we will go around the world and show you other traditions to show you just how deluded mankind really is. In this book, we will concentrate on Easter traditions. We already know that Easter is NOT of the Lord Jesus Christ, but it is a holiday that the devil set up for people to worship that turns people away from Christ and to the demonic things that Easter stands for. IN this book, we will show you how depraved people’s minds are concerning Easter. There are a lot of celebrations that are ‘Easter Traditions’ that are nothing more than demonic activity. We will show you all of this and then get you to understand that traditions are rituals, and rituals are things that the Lord absolutely HATES. 2 Easter Traditions: Self-Flagellation to get the blood flowing in the Philippines 3 Many of these re-enactments are carried out in the Philippines, which is heavily Catholic. Although it seems that the Catholic Church frown upon this, these practices are done anyway. In an article that is attached below, you can see that many are devout Catholics and they see this as a means to be close to Christ. So, you have to ask yourself a question - does Jesus APPROVE of this? What purpose would this serve for those people to continue to beat themselves to death? And it gets worse. Many cut themselves with razors to get the blood flowing. This is done to signify Jesus' walk to Golgatha, where He was crucified. This reminds us about the story of the Gaterene demoniac, in Mark chapter 5: Mark 5:1-8 - And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. It looks like demons are the entities that like blood and cut skin so blood flows. 4 As a part of the Easter celebration, many people are going around hitting themselves with sticks and cutting themselves with razors as a part of the ritual that is done in some places today. Many people sit and watch this spectacle, and they are saying that is a part of the Easter celebration. What? Are you serious? What are these people doing? How is this celebrating ANYTHING when you are beating yourself to death? It seems that these people believe that by beating themselves, they are atoning for their sins. Some have made vows to do this as they re-enact the crucifixion of The Lord Jesus Christ. As you can see to the left in the picture, the devotee is cutting his friend with a razor, so there is blood flowing. Is it really necessary to depict Jesus crucifixion in this manner? Can't you see that the demons manifest and show out through their people that they inhabit when the whole 'tradition' is demonic? We submit to you that these people are FULL of unclean spirits, and that this ritual or tradition is one of DEMONS. How can anyone sit there and watch this and think that this is HOLY? As we can see in the scripture above, only demons like to cut their host bodies and cause blood to flow, as that is what they LIKE!! This is a DEMONIZED procession and NOT a holy one; these people are demon possessed and they need to be delivered. So how it that this a celebration of Jesus as a part of the Easter tradition? It is NOT. These people have been driven out of their minds, as the demons in them are mocking Jesus by re-enacting His walk to Golgatha by crucifying Him afresh. It is no wonder that the Catholic Church frowns on this, but do you see them stopping it? No. You don't. This kind of 'celebration' can only happen if demons are involved. 5 Here is another tradition From the Philippines: The Crucifixion of Jesus 6 Many of these re-enactments are carried out all over the world, mostly in places that are heavily Catholic. Although it seems that the Catholic church frown upon this, these practices are done anyway. In an article that is attached below, you can see that many are devout Catholics and they see this as a means to be close to Christ. So, you have to ask yourself a question - What is this fascination with the crucifixion of The Lord Jesus Christ? The 'tradition' is that is a way to honour the sacrifice that the Lord Jesus Christ made for us so we can be saved, but you have to ask yourself - who decided that this is the way to 'honour' the Lord Jesus Christ? This is like having your family 'honour' your life by burying you when you die EVERY year. What purpose does it serve for people to mutilate themselves by having nails driven into their hands and feet to 'honour' Christ? Let me clue your in again, Christian. There is NO Honour in torturing someone, and even less honour in watching somone be tortured. Just like the group that is striking themselves with bamboo to 'atone' for their sins, this is a MOCKERY of the sacrifice made by the Lord Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ was here watching the people do this, He would have his whip ready to flog each and every single one of you who are perpetuating this LIE that this is honouring Christ!! Look at this picture, Christian - does this LOOK like someone being Honoured? It is a picture of someone being TORTURED!! And for what? NOTHING. 7 As a part of the Easter celebration, many people are going around re- enacting the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ as a part of the Easter 'tradition'. What? Are you serious? What are these people doing? How is watching someone get nailed to a tree denote a 'celebration'? Doesn't it seem odd to you that people are standing around watching this and LIKING seeing someone being nailed through their hands and feet onto a stake and hung up for all to see? What kind of 'tradition' is THIS?? Would Jesus approve of this? Can we see how STUPID that is? Here is the bottom line, Christian.
