Student Activities: i. Summer School: D Sriudhra of III BSc Physics underwent a Summer Research Fellowship programme jointly sponsored by IASc, INSA and NASI from 18.04.2019 to 12.06.2019. Uma Shankari M & S Rini of III BSc Physics participated in the Physics Training and Talent Search (PTTS 2019) programme (funded by Infosys Science Foundation) at Manipal Institute of Technology from 23.05.2019 to 12.06.2019. 10 Students of III B.Sc Physics attended the Internship Training at the Radio Astronomy Centre, Ooty. 12 Students of III B.Sc Physics attended the Internship Training at MAS Solar Systems, Coimbatore. ii. Yoga Indra Eniya of III BSc Physics won the III Place in Oral Paper Presentation for the paper entitled “ Heart beat sensor” in the National Symposium on Graduate Research – 20 organized at Dr.NGP Arts and Science College from 20.02.2020 – 21.02.2020. Arthi & D. Dharani of III B. Sc Physics presented a paper entitled “ Smart Irrigation System” in the National Symposium on Graduate Research organized @ Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, from 20.02.2020 – 21.02.2020. 5 v. Competitions: K S Kanya of II BSc Physics won the I Place in Paper Presentation in the National Level Technical Symposium on Nano Science & Technology held at Rathinam College of Arts and Science on 18.12.19. Agnes Jeba Beulah of II BSc Physics won the III Place in Creative Writing in the National Level Technical Symposium on Nano Science & Technology held at Rathinam College of Arts and Science on 18.12.19. S Janani of II BSc Physics won the II Place in Creative Writing in the National Level Technical Symposium on Nano Science & Technology held at Rathinam College of Arts and Science on 18.12.19. B. Maheswari presented a paper entitled "Sensitivity enhancement of SPR sensor with 2D material covered noble and magnetic material" in the 5th National Conference on Technologically Important Crystalline and Amorphous Solids (TICAS-2019) held at Kalasalingam University, Virudhunagar, from 05.04.19- 06.04.19. Mrs. N. Nithya presented a paper entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of TiO2 nanoparticles for Photocatalytic activity” in the 5th National conference on Technologically Important Crystalline and Amorphous solids (TICAS – 2019) held at Kalasalingam University, Virudhunagar, from 05.04.19-06.04.19. Dr. N. Priyadharsini presented a paper entitled “Tuning dielectric properties of Strontium based Titanate (SrTiO3) and Manganate (SrMnO3) perovskites for Microwave Antenna Applications” in the International Conference on Advanced Materials (ICAM – 2019) organized at Nirmalagiri College, Kerala, from 12.06.19 - 14.06.19. Maheswari presented a paper entitled "Sensitivity Enhancement of Surface Plasmon Resonance biosensor based graphene structure with Nanocomposite layer" in the International Conference on Advanced Materials for Energy and Environmental Applications (AMEEA 2019) organized at Government Arts College, Dharmapuri, during 22.08.19 - 24.08.19.
