This census is a first with the option to complete your entry digitally. Codes will be sent to all households. As participation in the census is a legal obligation, after the date for completion there will be communications and then some ‘door knockers’ encouraging completion – these will all be provided with PPE. 5 Update from Dr Garrod Surgery – Amanda Tamblin, Practice Manager Please see presentation: Appendix 3 – Vaccination update Update from Veor Surgery – Scott Bennett, Practice Partner Work on delivering the vaccine is going really well. Now formalised and secured the lease extension at St Breward so the branch will stay open and investing in repairs. In the process of applying for a dispensing licence in Delabole. A new website is available: www.camelfordmedicalcentre.co.uk 2 Information Classification: CONTROLLED 6 Question and Answers for Agenda items 3, 4 & 5 Business Support Grants: - when will businesses receive the Business Support Grant – explanation given for each of the grants. Census 21: - concerns with early entry and digital safety were discussed. - WI would like to assist with the process of helping residents to complete their entry and question regarding the support centre. Tina to share Heidi contact details with Steve Tina McGrath Simmonds, Forrabury& Minster Dr Garrod Surgery & Veor Surgery updates - Why are there 2 vaccinations systems with spare capacity at Wadebridge – steps put in place to avoid duplication and work on separate cohorts. -“ Thanks” were expressed for the Primary Care service providers and carers. 7 Update on A39 by-pass – Rick Clayton, Major Transport Scheme Lead, Cornwall Council Rick gave an update since the Cabinet report and outlined the next steps. Consultation letters will be sent to landowners for further discussions (virtually). Technical and environmental works are still ongoing. These will all feed into the report in the summer to form the planning application to be made in the Autumn. An outline business case will be submitted to the Department of Transport for review. Questions and/or comments: - Cycle track - Cornwall Council funding has been approved; central government funding is to be confirmed. - Build period is estimated 18 months - aiming to complete by summer 2024. 8 Update Town & Parish Councils Forrabury & Minster Parish Council: Neighbourhood Development Plan work continuing well. Funding of £5,000 was set aside for Covid support but as there has been support within the community this funding will now be used to encourage engagement with events/ community. Davidstow Parish Council: Busy with planning applications. ASB concerns Community Hall – currently reviewing 2 options. 3 Information Classification: CONTROLLED St Breward Parish Council: Carnival committee have decided not to go ahead with Carnival this year. Section 106 money and play equipment issues. Camelford Town Council: The Town Council has decided most of the events cancelled last year will also be cancelled this year – where events can take place virtually, they will continue. Camelford Place Shaping group are coming up with ideas for post by-pass. Work is taking place for a native wild area and hedgerow planting. Applied for a grant for an additional double charging point, along with a plan to increase other car park charging points. “Visit Camelford” has been launched to promote the town and encourage tourism. Online Council meetings have continued with 400+ views. Tree planting project is ongoing. Tintagel Parish Council: Youth club is coming back. 9 Cornwall Councillor updates Rob Rotchell CC Higher Culloden Farm have received a grant from the Woodland Trust to plant 1,500 trees towards the Forest of Cornwall. Volunteers can participate between 3 and 8 March. Meeting regularly with the local GP surgeries. Camelford Place Shaping is exciting. North Cornwall trail – covered by Councillor Fairman. Safeguarding issues. Support and thanks to be directed towards the social care carers. Barry Jordan CC Case work mainly planning. Supporting the Cycle trail work. Dominic Fairman CC Cycle trail – options of North Cornwall branch line and to continue the Camel Trail to Camelford have been suggested. Delabole to Camelford is being explored. Costs for a cycle trail are £1million per mile. Volunteers can get involved via Cornwall Volunteers. - Community Network survey – will be sent via email from Tina to gather views and suggestions on the panel, and to also look at future priorities of the Panel.
