While things may not look exactly the same as they have in past years, we know from last year that different can be extremely rewarding and fulfilling. These High Holidays are still a transition time for Congregation Beth Shalom and synagogues around the world. However, we can assure you that the essence and beauty of the High Holidays at Congregation Beth Shalom will be what you have come to expect. The decisions we have made are for the comfort and safety of our congregants and our congregation as a whole. (Neilah refers to the closing of the gates. As dusk approaches and Yom Kippur draws to a close, these are the final penitential prayers. Many people remain standing for the entire service. The Neilah service concludes with the sounding of the final blast of the Shofar.) The final Shofar Blast will be at approximately 7:38 p.m. Tickets are required at all services and are not transferable between locations and/or service start times as stated on your tickets. Children 3 and under are always welcome in all services on their parents lap. Sorry, no strollers allowed. If you will be attending services at CBS, we will have live streaming set up in the Youth Lounge for parents that may need to step out for a few minutes with their young children for a break.
