Davenport, a Preseason All-CIAA back, rushed for 1,133 yards in 2014 which led the conference. His rushing total was the second-highest in a season for a Falcons’ running back in the modern era. Jamal Parker led the Falcons with 41 catches for 419 yards and two touchdowns as a junior. Defensive back Denzel Wat- kins is the top returning tackler (48 tackles). ABOUT THE OPPONENT Virginia State University returns 42 lettermen from last year’s squad which won the CIAA Championship and reached the NCAA Division II playoffs with a 10-3 record including 7-0 in the CIAA.
