A format for semester-wise teaching plan was designed that helped in objective inspection of syllabus to be covered in a particular time frame. This will also aid in devising and forecasting the lesson plans for the forthcoming semester in advance. Department AQAR were created to compile the information for preparation of AQAR relevant from the Departments. Add on Course in IPR was introduced from Jan 2017-April 2017 for a batch of 20 students Approval for 3 New Add on Courses – i) Indian Music & Culture ii) Yoga and iii) Ayurbiology to be introduced from August 2017. Development of New College website by in house ICT team. The IQAC held discussions with IBSD , Imphal, Manipur for a joint collaborative training programme Digital India initiative in the college was given a big push by creating a web-based App for the College that was officially inaugurated on the Annual Day of the College ( Feb 23, 2017) AQAR , Sri Venkateswara College 2016-2017 Page 8 The First Edition of the Internship Fair under the Placement Cell was organized on 3rd March, 2017 for the students of SVC which received an overwhelming response with close to 500 registrations. Around 27 Start-ups, NGOs and Corporates participated College Alumni Portal in the college website launched alongwith online feedback for enhanced alumni networking The College procured a software for the development of timetable for the academic forthcoming session A University level “Training Programme on Educational Administration” for office staff was organized ( Dec 2016) 2.15 Plan of Action by IQAC/Outcome The plan of action chalked out by the IQAC in the beginning of the year towards quality enhancement and the outcome achieved by the end of the year - Plan of Action Achievements Curriculum Planning Internal Assessment through mid term examination, quizzes, class presentations, etc. Mid term Examination schedule prepared in consultation with all Departments. Teaching-Learning process Involvement of faculty in pedagogy workshops, Mentor- Mentee interaction strengthened, Result analysis for each department, Student Support & Mentoring Orientation/Counselling for choice of Generic Elective ( GE) and Skill Enhancement courses , Student Grievances, Support to SC/ST students, Counselling for North East Students, Feedback System Online/Manual Feedback System for Alumni,Parents and Hostel were formulated. A link has been created for Student Feedback & Alumni registration and feedback in the college website Support for Office Staff A University level “Training Programme on Educational Administration” for office staff was organized ( Dec 2016) AQAR , Sri Venkateswara College 2016-2017 Page 9 Curriculum Enrichment Workshop in R was initiated by Department of Economics, Add on Course in IPR was introduced in the academic session August- November 2016. New add on courses in Yoga, Ayurbiology & Indian Music to be introduced from August 2017. Infrastructure New Academic Building work in progress. IT facilities were upgraded. A New Tissue Culture Facility was created under DU-CIC Star project that was commissioned on Feb 28, 2017. Many faculties published their research work in journals of high repute. Faculty also presented their research work in international and national conferences Social Responsibility “SriVidya” – initiative of the College to adopt a rural school under DBT Star College Status. Open House for GSSS, Khanpur Kalan Students (Sonepat District) for visits to various laboratories in the Science Departments ( September 2016). Two day workshop on Advanced Science and Mathematics of Senior Secondary School Students from 3 Schools - Vivekananda Vidya Vihar, MARAL, Madhya Pradesh, Graphite School, Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh; Vivekananda Kendra Vidhyalay, Hurda, Bhilwara) jointly organised by DBT-STAR STATUS Sri Venkateswara College and LNJ Bhilwara Group on April 7-8, 2017. Cleanliness Drive under the Swach Bharat Abhyan in the campus AQAR , Sri Venkateswara College 2016-2017 Page 10 Environment Consciousness Green School Initiative organized by the college to sensitize 4000 students of 14 secondary school in Delhi and NCR. The purpose is to understand the existing system and assess the strengths and weakness of the Departments & Administrative Units and to suggest the methods for continuous improvement of quality as per the criterias suggested by NAAC.
