However, the judo sport, which is in constant development, created a number of variations of the hold-downs that are all included under the corresponding principal name, and that students must know. Okuri-ashi-barai: Sweeping both the feet Ko-soto-gari: Small outer reap Kuchiki-daoshi: Pulling down the worm-eaten tree (from the knee) Kibisu-gaeshi: Pulling down from the heel Tai-otoshi: Body drop Harai-goshi: Hip sweep Tsuri-komi-goshi: Hip hit with fishing entrance Sode-tsuri-komi-goshi: Hip hit with fishing entrance at the sleeve Ippon-seoi-nage: Throw loading on the back using only sleeve grip KATAME-WAZA (Ground techniques) Kata-gatame: Shoulder hold Kami-shiho-gatame: Top four-corner hold Kuzure-kami-shiho-gatame: Variation of top four-corner hold Ushiro-kesa-gatame: Reverse scarf hold Makura-kesa-gatame: Scarf hold with pillow KANSETSU-WAZA (Joint locks) Ude-hishigi-hara-gatame: Arm lock with stomach control SHIME-WAZA (Chokings) Hadaka-jime: Bare hands choking (rear naked choke) HAIRI-KATA Progressions of the ground fighting KATAME-NO-KATA (Form of ground fighting) First group (Osaekomi-waza) 4 Western University Judo Club Kyu Grading Syllabus 3rd Kyu GREEN Belt It is required all the previous program and in addition: NAGE-WAZA (Standing techniques –throws-) Hane-goshi: Wing hit jumping inside with the hip (hip spring) Uchi-mata: Inner thigh reaping throw Ashi-guruma: Leg wheel O-soto-otoshi: Major outer drop (O-soto-gari with the foot touching the mat) Morote-gari: Two hands reap Uchi-makikomi: Inner wraparound during the throw Soto-makikomi: Outer wraparound during the throw outer wrap-around Seoi-otoshi: Pulling down loading on the back (knee down) Tomoe-nage: Circular throw Sumi-gaeshi: Corner throw (similar to Tomoe-nage) Koshi-guruma: Hip wheel (O-Goshi from the neck) Renraku-waza and Kaeshi-waza: Combination of techniques and counter techniques.
