TESIS UNT FAC. CC. SS. RESUMEN Las municipalidades tienen una serie de objetivos y dentro de ellos también está el de promover la actividad turística y desarrollarla en beneficio de sus pobladores. Por lo cual el propósito de la presente investigación consistió en la determinación de cómo se manifiesta la Gestión Turística Municipal en la Provincia de Trujillo durante el Periodo 2011-2014. Para ello fue necesaria la Identificación de los tipos de diagnóstico que desarrolla la municipalidad provincial de Trujillo, tener conocimiento de los instrumentos de planificación. La Identificación de los segmentos a los que ha sensibilizado la Municipalidad de Trujillo, verificación de las capacitaciones que se han desarrollado y la descripción del servicio de orientación turística, destacando su vínculo con la satisfacción del turista. Por lo cual utilizando el Método Etnográfico, analítico sintético y estadístico, se ha realizado una encuesta a los principales prestadores de servicios turísticos en nuestra provincia, y algunas entrevistas a principales gestores Municipales, lo que permitirá brindar una visión real de cómo se encuentra la gestión municipal provincial e identificar su eficacia en el aumento de la demanda y mejora de los servicios turísticos del destino. Considerándose como una primera guía que puede aplicarse para cualquier evaluación en términos de la mejora de la eficiencia de la gestión turística municipal. ABSTRACT The Municipalities have a number of objectives and within them is also to promote and develop tourism for the benefit of its people. Herefore the purpose of this research was to determine how the Municipal Tourism Management is manifested in the Province of Trujillo during the period 2011-2014. This required the identification of the types of diagnostic developed by the provincial municipality of Trujillo, have knowledge of planning tools. The identification of the segments that has sensitized the Municipality of Trujillo, verification of training that have been developed and the description of tourist information service, highlighting their link to tourist satisfaction. Therefore using the ethnographic method, synthetic and statistical analytical, it has made a survey of the main providers of tourist services in our province, and some interviews with major municipal managers, which will provide a real insight into how the management is provincial municipal and identify its effectiveness in increasing demand and improve tourism services destination. Regarded as a first guide which can be applied to any evaluation in terms of improving the efficiency of municipal tourism management.
