Darrell McLennan Fordyce - CMO and Co-MD Sports, 23 Capital Darrell's role encompasses building the 23 brand globally and origination for sports. He has over 20 years’ experience in the sport, commercial and media landscape, working in senior roles including Orange, NBA, WPP and has advised on bids to host the Ryder Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and America’s Cup. Previous to joining 23 he was working with Pembroke VCT in their portfolio of businesses. Professor Simon Chadwick - Director of Eurasian Sport, Emlyon Simon is Director of Eurasian Sport at Emlyon, a global top-50 business school. Based in Paris, Simon also works as Professor of the Eurasian Sport Industry and Director of CESI – Centre for the Eurasian Sport Industry (based in Shanghai). His work is positioned at the intersection of sport, business, politics and technology, and involves a focus on such diverse areas as sponsorship, branding, social media, strategy, soft power and diplomacy. Dr Rob Wilson - Sport Business Management Expert, Sheffield Hallam University Rob is a leading sport finance expert and football business consultant based at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the sport business sector and brings a wealth of experience as a creative educator. Rob specialises in financial reporting, management accounting and economic decision-making processes in sport organisations and was awarded his PhD on the basis of his published work for his research on the factors affecting financial performance in professional team sports. Phil Carling - Global Head of Football, Octagon Phil has special responsibility for the Mastercard, Mars, ABI, Cisco, Standard Chartered, Delta Airlines, Premier League and UEFA accounts at Octagon. His early career in television broadened into a role as Marketing Director of Arsenal FC, a role he performed over a six year period. He became Commercial Director of the Football Association in 1996. Dr Daniel Parnell - CEO, Assoication of Sport Directors Dan is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business Management at the University of Liverpool Management School. He is also the CEO of the Association of Sport Directors and co-founder and Chair of The Football Collective, a global network of football scholars. Dan serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Managing Sport and Leisure, alongside a number of other editorial positions. Dan’s research interests lie in sport business management and policy. Ben Nicholas - SVP Head of UK Media and Global Digital Sales, IMG Media Ben combines rights acquisitions, rights sales, client advisory and broadcast relationships in the UK market along with devising and implementing IMG Media’s overall strategy for sports federations in the digital space on a global basis. He works with major sports organisations to sell rights on their behalf in the UK such as World Rugby, Scottish FA, ATP Media, US Tennis, Cricket South Africa, NHL and Moto GP and has previously worked with the European Tour, SPFL, Rugby League, The FA and Cricket Australia. David Kogan - Co-Managing Director, Global Media Division David Kogan is Co-Managing Director of the Global Media Division based in London. He was co-founder, with Sara Munds, of Reel Enterprises Ltd which was sold to Wasserman Media Group in 2011.
