Landscape - Low capacity for development is consequently low. North West Site – West of The northern part of the site lies within the river/canal corridor and its location, landform and Overall Landscape Capacity Torrance Road (12.8ha) distinctive character reduces its capacity for development. The southern part is less sensitive and - Medium has some potential capacity for development subject to Historic Scotland opinion on the value of the area within the WHS buffer zone. South East Site – Between The site is sensitive in landscape terms due to its location, unrelated to settlement form and Overall Landscape Capacity Kirkintilloch Road and Cole surrounded by open, undeveloped land, and its distinctly agricultural character. Landscape - Low Road (7.9 Ha) capacity for development is consequently low. South West Site - Crofthead A large complex site comprising a variety of land uses and landscape sensitivity. Generally Overall Landscape Capacity Cottage (17.1 Ha) sensitive with little capacity for development, although the previously developed eastern corner of - Low the site may have greater capacity subject to comment from Historic Scotland. .
