Pestana (player/coach) 6 Curtin University Hockey Club Curtin Stadium, Curtin University www.cuhc.org.au President’s Report 2019 has been a huge year for CUHC, both on and off the field. It has been a real privilege to lead the club in my first year as President, and I am excited by what we have managed to achieve, and our plans for the future. We fielded 21 teams across Hockey WA competitions in 2019, which included our first ever year 3-4 junior team and an entire new team of Curtin students. The club retained both our premier league teams, and also fielded teams for regional and international competition, seeing our local and international footprint grow. We have continued our strong representative representation at national and international level throughout 2019 This year, we undertook a major transformative process, to digitise and upgrade our management processes. 2019 saw the club move to a digital platform to manage club operations and governance, and institute a new financial model that has resulted in a strong fiscal position. The club has also taken a leading role in major changes in competition management and structure in WA. This season, we specifically focussed on our club values, holding sessions on values with our committee and volunteers. The club is now becoming deliberately values driven, in line with the strategic plan and more broadly the University.
