FASCINATING ROCK WELCOMES HIS FIRST FOAL Fascinating Rock welcomed his first foal when a filly out of the well-related Serenity Dove (Harbour Watch) was born at Ringfort Stud. Serenity Dove is a half-sister to Stakes winners Wilki (Oasis Dream) and Madhya (Gone West) and is out of the multiple Gr.3-winning Khumba Mela (Hero’s Honor). She was bred by the highly successful consignor and breeder Derek Veitch of Ringfort Stud, who commented: “It is a lovely foal, that is, a strong bodied filly with good bone, especially for a foal out of a maiden mare.” Fascinating Rock, who was bred and raced by Newtown Anner Stud, was the joint highest-rated horse to go to stud in Ireland last year. He was a dual Gr.1 winner over 10 furlongs when winning the Tattersalls Gold Cup and the Champion Stakes, both times beating outstanding racemare Found.
