On ly tho s e d rawing s and pict u res which are exhibited are lis ted in this catalogu e . Others which are kept in po rtfo lio s in the Mu s eu m Ofiic e are not w o rthy of inc lu sio n in it . The general arrangement and clas s ificatio n of the drawing s and painting s is acc o rding to chro n ol ogical o rder of the subject s and in ca s e of p o rtraits genealogical o rder has been maintained as far as po ss ible to g ive them a his I t has no t o ss to et autho to ric al intere s t . been p ible g ritative u s u to o f o n to s s ou partic lar , p the time g i g pre , ab t s so me of the p o rtraits . P ict u re s having little o r no his to rical interes t have b een exhibited mainly o n acc o unt of their artis tic merit s with a V iew to help to the u n der standing and ap preciatio n of I ndian picto rial art . Ordinarily caligraphy shou ld be c o n sidered with us s b ut s s of i u d man crip t , a few typical pecimen ll minate w o rks of caligraphy have been included in this cata logue with a view to demo n strate their relatio n with the M of is as im Mo hal paintings .
