This means that they are all regularly maintained to the highest standard, giving you peace of mind that your daughter is travelling in safety. <br>Thank you for your interest in our School Transport services. This guide for the 2020- 21 academic year provides information on the wide range of travel options available to pupils at made on a termly basis for regular travel, and adhoc travel is paid for at the time of booking. </p><p>All of our school minibuses are maintained to <br>Bromley High School and I hope you will find it of a high standard and equipped with seatbelts at </p><ul style="display: flex;"><li style="flex:1">use. </li><li style="flex:1">every seat. We use friendly, DBS checked drivers </li></ul><p>who have all undertaken the MiDAS minibus or professional driving qualifications. As we expand our service this year we will also be using larger coaches on the most popular routes. These will be under contract from local providers who will have to demonstrate that they provide the same level of professional standards and safety. <br>We use dedicated drivers who work on the same route each day. These drivers get to know the pupils and are subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check. <br>This year we are proposing to increase the size of our network in response to demand and changing travel habits. We continue to follow all government guidance for the safe operation of our services including measures to ensure that we are COVID secure; services may have to change in response to this guidance. From a single fare for a one-off journey through to return passes for the entire academic year, there are options for everyone’s travel arrangements. It is recommended that bikes are secured using a suitable lock. </p><p>Late Bus </p><p>Cars </p><p>Departure from school: 17:30 </p><p>Girls may drive to and from school once written permission has been received from both their parents and Mrs Bird (Head of Sixth Form). Driving is only permitted once girls have obtained a full driving licence. Girls are not permitted to drive or park on the Bromley High School site; they should park considerately without causing inconvenience to local residents. Further details are available in the Sixth Form Drivers Policy, copies of which are available from Mrs Bird. </p><p>In response to parental requests, Bromley High School will continue to provide a late bus service from September 2020. Buses depart from the school at 17:30 serving the areas north of the school. Subject to demand, further buses can be provided to other areas. </p><p>Parents need to book their daughter on the service at least 6 hours in advance through the online booking system and the exact route will be calculated each day depending on demand. You will receive a confirmation email upon booking the late bus service, which will confirm that your daughter is able to travel. </p><p>Taxis </p><p>The school’s recommended taxi suppliers are Cannon Cars of Bromley and Bromley South Cars. Arrangements for pupils’ journeys to and from school are the responsibility of their parents. To assist with discharging this responsibility, Bromley High School provides a School Bus Service. </p><p><strong>Single journey (ad-hoc) </strong></p><p>10. Bookings on the School Bus Service are nonrefundable in the event of a pupil failing to travel. Regular travel must be booked for a full academic year. <br>12. Good conduct is required at all times. Bullying, shouting, use of foul language, dropping litter, playing music, or any other misbehaviour is strictly forbidden. </p><p>5. Bookings are to be made online via bromleyhigh.vectare.co.uk. <br>13. Except when embarking or disembarking, all passengers must remain seated with their seatbelts fastened correctly. <br>6. Each pupil for whom an online form has been </p><p>submitted will be added to a bus list detailing the service they travel on, their bus stop and what travel has been paid for. Their name will appear on a list, which will be checked by the driver. <br>14. Whilst on a School Bus, all passengers must accept without question the authority of a member of Bromley High School staff, a transport company official, or a school prefect or bus monitor, who may ask them to obey any reasonable instruction such as to pick up litter, desist from certain actions or to move to a different seat. <br>7. It will be the parent’s responsibility to inform the <br>School via the Contact Us form on the website if they no longer wish for their child to use the School Bus Service. One full term’s notice must be given by a parent prior to the removal of a pupil from the School Bus Service (apart from an ad-hoc journey). <br>15. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent withdrawal of permission to use the School Bus Service. </p><p>Sign up to our school bus service </p><p>8. If you wish for your child to use the School Bus <br>Service on an ad-hoc basis, or to vary the details of their bus travel as a one-off, you should book travel via the online website prior to travel. A charge of £1.60, £4.20 or £10.40 per single journey is levied for individual trips depending on location. <br>16. Bromley High School aims for 95% of journeys to operate within the transport industry window of tolerance of one minute early to five minutes late, however timings may vary due to traffic conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
