After a difficult 2018/19 season, we find ourselves with a chance to put right last year’s poor league position. We are looking to do this while still maintaining the player progression that we were very proud of last season. A few older, more experienced heads, gelled with the lads who gained there first year’s experience in the Thurlow Nunn last year, leaves us in a better position than where we were a year ago. The introduction of our new head coach Stuart has been a big plus and Glen, Stuart and I are looking forward to the challenge. Please get behind and support the lads as we look to enjoy the 2019/20 season. Up the R’s Lee Clark Brightlingsea Regent Reserves Manager HISTORY Brightlingsea Regent FC, previously Brightlingsea United, have completed around 100 years of competitive football. Firstly in the Border League, between 1908/1909 to 1970, when they joined The Essex Senior league for 20 years having much success, before going on to join the then Jewson League in 1990 and then back to the Border League in 2001/2002. Brightlingsea United FC and Regent Park Rangers FC amalgamated at the start of 2005/06 season to become Brightlingsea Regent Football Club. During this time the squad and club have continued to grow and develop, the first team, with a series of promotions from the Border League, currently play at Step 3 of the non-league pyramid in the Isthmian Premier league. The 2018/19 season saw the formation of a Brightlingsea Regent Reserves side, under the guidance of Manager Lee Clark, his assistant Glen Last and Head Coach Adam Munn, playing their first season of football in the newly formed Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Division One South. Adam Munn left at the end of the 2019 season and Stuart Malseed has joined the management team as Head Coach for the 2019/20 season. With a season of senior football under their belts, the Reserves are looking to continue their growth, with many of the squad looking to push for places in the First Team.
