Thursday, June 20; 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Snite Museum of Art Exhibition Opening: Ivan Meštrović and Notre Dame Ivan Meštrović (1883-1962) was among the most famous and prolific figurative sculptors of the 20th century. His career is inextricably linked to the University and the Snite Museum of Art. Meštrović was brought to campus in 1955 by University President Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C. This exhibition features a small selection of the artist’s works. On view through Saturday, Aug. 10, in the Snite Museum of Art Closures, Openings, Limited Hours and Cancellations Summer Hours at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center ticket office will be closed through July 7. From July 8 through Aug. 5, the ticket office will be open during the following hours: Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to ticketed events. Event tickets are still available for purchase on the website. Presenting Series season tickets go on sale July 29. Free and open to the public. Tuesday, June 18; 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium, McKenna Hall Lecture: “The Astronomer’s Chair: A History of Sitting and Its Images” A public lecture by Omar W. Nasim, University of Regensburg, as part of the 14th Biennial Notre Dame History of Astronomy Workshop. Nasim examines the images of astronomers and their observing chairs during the 19th century to explore what we can learn about the practice of astronomy. Reception to follow. To prepare for this transition, all faculty, staff and students must enroll in Okta and select the preferred devices required to complete the two-step login process when Okta goes live. Enrolling in Okta before July 29 ensures immediate access to ND services like Gmail, Google Apps, Sakai, Box, etc. Okta Enrollment Station Events The OIT will host two Okta enrollment station events: · Wednesday, June 19; 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Montgomery Auditorium, LaFortune Student Center · Friday, June 21; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Duncan Student Center (enter by Door 16) OIT representatives will be on hand to assist faculty, staff and students with enrolling their devices in Okta and to answer any questions about the new Okta two-step login.
